Ian James Mason, of East Peoria, was born a quiet birth at 7:26 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Ian was a dream and an all-too-brief presence for his parents, James R. and Amy Grace (Presley) Mason of East Peoria; sister, Madison Grace Mason at home; paternal grandmother, Donna Mason of Washington; maternal grandmother, Shelley Presley of East Peoria; maternal grandfather, Randy Presley of Clinton, AR; paternal uncle, Dennis A. (Pam) Mason of Washington; maternal aunts, Erin (Rodney) Morey of Marquette Heights and Kerry (Joshua) Weir of Putnam; and maternal great grandmothers, Gloria Crank of Morton and Irma Bowers of Shirley, AR.
His paternal grandfather, C. Rodney Mason, and twin sisters, Elizabeth and Kaitlyn Mason, preceded him in death.
A private service and interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home in Peoria.

Amy, James & Madison,
You all know to well the brief temporary time you were given. As parents we all know that we wish we had a life time with our precious babies. As you know God had a different plan for baby Ian. It breaks my heart to see that you all have to endure this pain again. I to have endured this pain and there is nothing that anyone can say or do to make it better. I just pray that someday that I to will see my precious baby again in heaven. Please take care of yourselves. I know its easy for me to tell you that. Keep your chin up kido. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
